1. Sate Padang
Sate Padang is a unique type of Indonesian sate that one of culinary in west sumatera.
Sate Padang include beef pieces, beef tongue, and offal. First, marinated in a mixture of spices, then grilled over hot flaming charcoal, and finally they are often served over sliced up compressed rice cake, called ketupat, and then covered in a thick brown colored sauce, and sprinkled with crispy shallots. And you will taste incredible feeling after spend this.
Sate Padang consist of 3 type coloured sauce. The first one, brown colour sauce, looks from original seasoning and herbs, sate with a red coloured sauce because dominated by red chilli and last sate with a peanut sauce.
2. Ayam Bakar Taliwang
This is a special grilled chiken originated from Lombok Island and have spesific spicy,s taste.
The chicken was so flavorful, and not too tender, but with an enough texture, so every bite it kept releasing more chicken juices.
The taste also dominated by more fresh herb that why this smell so good. Ayam Bakar Taliwang is one of the dishes you don’t want to miss if you love spicy food.
3. Ikan Bakar
Just like many of the grilled foods in Indonesian cuisine, what I love about ikan bakar? It’s grilled over with very hot charcoal fire and grilled quickly, giving a really incredible flame roasted fire flavor.
There are many recipe of indonesian Food that serve ikan bakar. They marinate with an authentic sauce originate from fresh herb and chilli, simple seasoning like lemon juice with ketchup and mixture of coconut milk with seasoning, and finally, grilled with a hot charcoal.

4. Pepes
Pepes is very similar with Thai aeb, but it’s the Indonesian version of an assortment of fish, meat or tofu, mixed with lots of healthy herbs and spices, wrapped in banana leaf package, and either steamed or grilled.
Pepes have a spesifict smelling because banana leaf give green essence that adding surplus of valuable taste in this dish.
5. Soto Betawi
Soto Betawi is usually use with beef which is boiled with aromatic herbs like lemongrass and Indonesian bay leaves, and flavored with candlenut, galangal, garlic, and shallots, and finally combination of both fresh cow milk and coconut milk are added to make the soup was creamy.
The soup usually served in a bowl, with a topping like crispy fried shallots, and some Indonesian pickles (known as acar). It’s truly an incredible dish that you can’t forget. (*)
